DEEPER WELL (2024) - KACEY MUSGRAVEs - Album Review
7.9/10

Deeper Well (2024)
Deeper Well (2024) feels like an record you could live in, or drive across the country experiencing. There is so much to offer, even while Kacey largely plays it safe for most of the album.
What shines through are very obvious moments of genius in songs that set themselves apart in a big way, while having a consistent focus of fantastic production and mix-quality that holds the entire album up and says “I HAVE A GREAT NEW ALBUM OUT THIS YEAR”.
It’s awesome.

The multitude of intentional sampling, or call backs to similar melodies and riffs from artists I love - [JID, Keane, Coldplay, Eddie Vedder] really sell this album big time for me as well. Feeling connected to other bits of music that mean a lot to me is something that will always contribute to the happiness resulting from a listening experience.
This is the one to beat in her discography. I am still wanting more… But I loved the End Result.
